The Director assures accountability for the provision of cost-effective, high-quality safe patient care for the patient undergoing surgery and procedures across both hospitals, preoperative clinic, Center for Wound Care, and the Ambulatory Surgery Center. The Director has shared accountability for outcomes of care.
Responsibilities include:
patient care delivery and oversight of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery;
creating and promoting an environment that incorporates evidence based practice, regulatory and professional standards; interdisciplinary practice and collaborative relationships throughout the organization
staff and provider engagement;
patient and staff satisfaction;
support of the strategic plan through program and clinical development;
leadership development and mentoring of personnel;
coordination of human, fiscal and other resources.
