Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, Radiation Oncology Clinical Director, Chair/Executive Medical Director, and Division Chiefs as applicable, assumes responsibility for clinical management of Radiation Oncology and Thoracic Surgery/Surgical Oncology clinic, Brachytherapy procedural suite staff as assigned with a focus on patient flow and the provision of high quality patient care. Functions include those of triage, staffing, patient flow, direct patient care, teacher, consultant, and researcher. The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for assisting with clinical management and administrative coordination. The position is a combination of clinical (direct care) and administrative responsibilities.
Responsible for providing clinical services related to radiation therapy, brachytherapy, and independent prioritization of patient care activities for Westwood, Santa Monica, Santa Clarita and other future sites as assigned. Days and hours may vary depending on assignments.
BSN or MSN, required
Current valid CA RN license, required
BLS from the ARC or AHA, required
Two years of oncology or radiation oncology experience as an RN, highly desired
Previous charge or management experience, highly desired
Must be able to travel between the radiation oncology clinics
